Controversial and crazy expenditures by state officials

The finance bill 2024, many citizens have been keen in following up on the lifestyle of most leaders and if they can be accountable.

This has attracted several online investigators who have come out with shreds of evidence explaining how some leaders misuse public money.

Most expenditures highlighted are insanely financing the flamboyancy of the leaders.

In the Financial Year of 2023/2024, here is how some leaders spent the budget allocated by the national government.

President Ruto and Gachagua on state residence.

Pres Ruto spent Ksh 900M for General Maintenance & Renovation of StateHouse/Lodges whilst his deputy, Gachagua spent Ksh 250.4M on renovations to his residences.

Nairobi county

Nairobi Governor & MCAs spent Ksh 658.83M on Foreign Travel

Nyandarua County

The county spent Ksh 19M to build a Perimeter Wall for the Speaker’s house.

Embu county

Despite being in a financial crisis in the country, Embu County has been seen giving MCA’s a sitting allowance of a whopping Ksh 145, 847pm.

On foreign trips, the county has gone to the extent of using 8 million of the taxpayers’ money.
