Larry Madowo stunned by lady’s crazy marriage proposal
Kenya’s international journalist Larry Madowo seemed surprised after a social media user wrote to him asking him to marry her.
In a message that the CNN journalist posted on his Twitter account, the social media user, who was not identified, appeared to use disrespectful language to make the unusual request.
“Larry, why don’t you marry this camel?” the social media user wrote.
In his response, the former NTV and KTN journalist expressed his surprise, wondering if this year is about forcing things.
“Are you saying this year is a year of forcing things?” Madowo said in shock.
Earlier this year, the 36-year-old journalist appeared to confirm that he is still single and unmarried.
Madowo, who currently works at CNN, said he still has time to marry, citing the news of wealthy businessman Rupert Murdoch marrying at the age of 92.
Madowo posted a screenshot of the headline of Mr. Murdoch’s marriage and quoted, “I still have time.”
This may have been confirmation that the former NTV presenter is still unmarried despite being romantically linked with fellow journalist Edith Kimani.
For a long time, Kenyans have assumed that the two are dating, following their open actions on social media and their frequent public appearances together.
Towards the end of January, Madowo decided to further fuel speculation by sharing a post that intensified rumours that he and Edith were more than just close friends.
The beautiful picture was accompanied by a short, sweet quote, “If not this, I don’t want it 📸 @gathigesest.”
And what Larry wanted is what he got, to be talked about. The post sparked mixed feelings among his fans who decided to celebrate the ‘relationship’ between the two news stars.
Earlier last year, Edith shared a lovely picture showing her kissing Larry on the cheek and a sweet message about their love for each other.
Edith quoted this moment, “New year. Same me. Same bills. Same love. @larrymadowo has changed wallets though, so new expenses.”
