The Salaries and Remuneration Commission yesterday shook the country with the new salary structure for senior state officials whereby they got an increase that has left most people jaw dropped.

Amidst the antigovernmental protests that are fighting the high taxes in the country, most citizens are left with the conclusion that priorities are not being met.
