Akothee pens comforting message to Eric Omondi about Fred Omondi
Artist and entrepreneur Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee, has written a comforting message to comedian and activist Eric Omondi today, Saturday, June 29, as he buries his younger brother Fred Omondi.
Fred Omondi, who passed away two weeks ago after being involved in a road accident when the motorcycle he was riding collided head-on with a matatu early in the morning in Nairobi, is being laid to rest at their home in Sega, Siaya County.
In her message to Eric, Akothee urged him to have a brave heart, acknowledging that losing a sibling is deeply painful, even if it may appear manageable on the outside.
“Today I mourn with you, my brother. @ericomondi. On the outside, it may seem controlled, but deep inside, the pain is immense. Losing a loved one is not easy, and for someone who grew up an orphan, it’s even more significant. I truly understand the depths of what you’re going through right now,” Akothee told Eric.
However, Akothee noted that Eric would be in a good position because, at the end of the day, he has a child and a wife to return to for more comfort after losing his only remaining brother following the death of another brother in 2018.
“Brother, keep your head up. I am with you on this lonely journey of fame. After the day’s struggles, you have a wife and child to return to. The family that came from you brings great comfort and joy. That is the best decision you ever made. I love you, brother. My deepest condolences, and may our brother and friend FRED OMONDI rest in peace,” Akothee concluded.
Fred Omondi’s funeral service was held yesterday, Friday, at Chiromo Mortuary, where several stars attended to offer Eric Omondi comfort.
Later, his body was flown from Nairobi to Kisumu and then transported by road to Siaya, where he will be laid to rest.
