Churchill Show back on NTV

Nation Media Group has announced the return of the comedy show Churchill Show to NTV, two years after the show moved from NTV.

Churchill Show, led by the ‘father’ of the modern comedy entertainment industry, Daniel Ndambuki, also known as Churchill, left NTV two years ago for Cape Media’s TV47.

However, Churchill Show did not last long on air there and later went off the air, much to the disappointment of comedy fans. Now, there is joy among comedy fans as the show is set to return to its original home, NTV.

Announcing the news, NTV stated that the decision was driven largely by fans who have been asking for the return of Churchill Show for a long time.

“The wait is over, Kenya! The popular #ChurchillShow🔥 is coming back after many years of requests from you, the fans! We heard you loud and clear, and we are bringing you the split sides and hilarious skits you love. 💯 Get ready for a new season of pure entertainment! Stay TUNED,” NTV Kenya announced on their Facebook page.

The Churchill Show first aired on NTV in 2007 and ended in May 2022.

During this period, Daniel Ndambuki nurtured several comedians, many of whom are now well-known, establishing himself as a key pillar in the country’s comedy industry.

Undoubtedly, the return of the show to this national broadcaster will be like a new dawn for the comedy industry, which has been struggling in recent years since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
