Citizen Radio host Shatta Bway leaves the station after five years

Steve Jacob Maunda alias Shatta Bway of waks tiki taka show airing on Citizen radio has left the Station after five years.

If you remember during my wife’s  burial I promised to be the best dad to our kids.

I am making decisions as their mum and their dad. I need time with this kids. My son is 13. He is at an age where you can easily lose your kid.

At 13 is when things start happening, I cannot be in something that limits how I spend time with my kids.

I am trying to be the best dad. I will be doing other things. I have got something else in a field that I have always wanted to do.”

He went on to hint had always wanted to work behind the scenes as a director.

“I have always wanted to do this.I have always wanted to be a director and be behind the camera. I will be doing consultancy ,

His advise to people?

“Do not make an emotional decision when leaving your job. Have a strategy and weigh if it is viable.’

Shatta Bway lost his wife Rebecca on June 25th 2023 after falling ill and got admitted to hospital for some time.

Speaking during his wife’s burial, Shatta shared that his wife requested he takes good care of their two kids. 

I will love the kids and protect them, I remember your last words to me were 

‘Baba Jaheim enda home uchunge watoto mimi nimepumzika.’

I will protect them the best way I know how. I will be the best dad.

Rebecca was buried at her home in Mukaa, Makueni County.
