Koome mourns deceased Butere Magistrate as kind, wise and generous » Capital News

NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 18 — Chief Justice Martha Koome has mourned Burere Magistrate Jacqueline Ojwang as kind and wise in a tribute to the family on Monday.

Koome also hailed the judicial officer’s generosity, courage and warmth.

“In addition to her professional achievements, Hon. Jacqueline Muthoni Ojwang’ was a friend to many within the judiciary,” she stated.

The Chief Justice praised Ojwang’, whom she described as a dedicated servant of justice, as an achiever further adding her interactions touched the hearts of many.

Before her posting to the Butere Law Courts, Ojwang served at the Kibera and Thika Law Courts.

Koome expressed sympathy to the family of Ojwang’, her associates and friends.

“On behalf of the Judiciary, the Judicial Service Commission and myself, I extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, colleagues and friends,” she said.

“As we share your grief,  we pray for strength and solace during trying time,” the Chief Justice stated.
