CS Ababu pays tribute to Jahmby ‘N’jambi’ Koikai
Youth Affairs, Sport and Creative Economy CS Ababu Namwamba on Tuesday joined family, friends and creatives to mourn the passing of celebrated reggae DJ Njambi (Jahmby) Koikai, also known as Fyah Mummah.
Ababu eulogized Njambi as not only a cherished figure in the entertainment industry but also as a passionate human rights activist.
“Njambi was a beacon of hope and equity, tirelessly advocating for fairness in our society. Her dedication to justice and equity is a passion we shared,” said Ababu.
The CS was addressing a meeting held at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi in honour of Njambi.
The prominent Kenyan reggae MC and radio host succumbed to a long battle with endometriosis on June 4, 2024, while undergoing treatment at Nairobi Hospital.
