Desagu reveals the most he has ever earned from YouTube

Henry Desagu, also known as the Prince of Mwihoko, has revealed the highest amount he has ever made from his YouTube channel.

Speaking during an interview with Obinna TV, Desagu mentioned that the highest amount is Ksh 400,000.

“The highest amount per month is Ksh 400,000,” Desagu disclosed.

He went on to explain how YouTube pays, stating that there are strategies YouTube uses for payment, and it’s not just based on the number of views a video gets, which is a common misconception.

He explained that they consider the length of the video, the watch time, and the number of videos published.

“Some people don’t know how YouTube pays. Sometimes it depends on the length of the video, how many videos you’ve made, and how many people have watched. Also, someone watching from Kenya doesn’t earn the same as someone watching from outside Kenya.”

However, he said his main source of income is through advertisements, and he doesn’t rely solely on YouTube.

Discussing how he grew his YouTube channel, he said he promoted it by sharing it across all his social media platforms and asking fans and followers to subscribe with every post he published.

He explained how his creativity often addressed common societal issues.

“We used to create small scripts to align with Desagu, then we created a character called Desagu, who was a guy growing up in Mwihoko, unmarried, without a permanent job, and essentially about the struggles we go through every day,” Desagu shared during the interview.
