Nairobi Red Cross unveils resource centre for the youth » Capital News
NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 15 — The Nairobi County Red Cross branch has launched the Nairobi County Youth Resource Centre.
Kenya Red Cross Secretary General Ahmed Idris said the centre will provide information and technology services to young people.
“The youth Resource Centre is a safe space for young people that offers psychosocial services,” the Kenya Red Cross Nairobi branch stated on Thursday.
Red Cross further asserted that the center will be pivotal in offering training that will enable the youth to acquire skills that will enable them to leverage jobs online.
“Information and technology services for young people [promote] access to opportunities online and nurture young people through training to be agents of change in their communities,” the Red Cross noted.
City Hall officials who graced the occasion stressed the need to support, empower, and create enabling environments for youths in Nairobi.
