Kenyan celebs react to footage of Diddy allegedly assaulting Cassie

CNN has obtained surveillance footage of P Diddy physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie in 2016. The video has elicited shock reactions online, with celebrities joining netizens to weigh in on the incident.

The footage shows Diddy running after Cassie, and shoving, kicking then dragging his ex-girlfriend at an elevator.

The singer was wearing a white towel and holding it as he rushed after her towards the elevators.

He grabs her by the back of her neck throwing her to the floor. she lies down still, as he blows kicks on her. He then picks up a purse and another item that had fallen during the assault, and he kicks her again.

He then pulls her by her sweatshirt to the direction they had come from.

The footage is dated March 5, 2016, based on CNN claims, suggesting that the incident happened at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, which has since shut down.

CNN did not say how it obtained the video but claimed it verified the location where it was shot by comparing the footage to publicly available images of the InterContinental Hotel.

The two have since settled a federal lawsuit in November 2023.
