General Charles Muriu Kahariri appointed new CDF

President William Ruto has promoted Lieutenant General Charles Muriu Kahariri to the rank of General and appointed him the Chief of the Defence Forces.

This following the demise of the former Chief of Defense Forces the late General Francis Ogolla.

General Ogolla died in a helicopter crash at Elgeyo Marakwet on 18th of April 2024 alongside nine others.
