NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 26 – The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has affirmed its compliance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act.
In a statement on X, the authority refuted claims of leaking sensitive personal information of vehicle owners on online public searches.
“The motor vehicle copy of records does not reveal the Email address, ID number and phone number of the registered owner (s),” the statement read.
The authority further stated that the only personal information provided on motor vehicle copy of records included the registered owner’s name, KRA PIN Number and Charges .
Additional information on the records include all the particulars of the vehicle/motor cycle including Chassis number, model, engine number, entry number, fuel type, logbook number, registration date and caveat status.
A public copy of record is accessible online immediately after paying a fee of Sh 500.
