UDA kicks off grassroots elections in five counties
The ruling United Democratic Alliance Party has this morning kicked off its grassroots elections to pick officials at the County level.
The elections are expected to commence in five counties of Nairobi, West Pokot, Homabay, Busia, and Narok in phase one of the Party’s grassroots election.
Addressing the media at the UDA Party headquarters, the National Elections Board (NEB) Chairperson Eng. Antony Mwaura reiterated that the election will be purely electronic.
He allayed any fears of election malpractice, noting that the process will be free, fair, credible, and verifiable. He called on all UDA Party members to turn up in large numbers and take part in this important party exercise.
The elections will be conducted electronically to ensure transparency and verifiability.
The ruling party has also constituted the Elections Disputes Resolution Committee to amicably sort out any disputes that may arise.
The voting exercise will commence from 9:00 am and close at 3:00 pm.
