Prophet Lovy speaks on being judged as a heavily tattooed preacher
He wears dreadlocks, is heavily laden with tattoos, and loves jewelry. Prophet Lovy recently spoke to Nic Cannon on what the appearance of preachers has on a ministry.
He said, “If you are a man of God and you judge people by what they look like, you really don’t know God. Because God’s help comes from unlikely places.”
Lovy is a preacher in America and lives in Los Angeles, where he has a family.
“You see the problem is people don’t read the scripture That whole chapter talks about line ups too. You shouldn’t cut your hair on the side and you know you shouldn’t trim your beard. But they forget the context. They only talk about tattoos. They don’t talk about everything else that is listed there.”
The former musician pointed out why people have problems with his body art,
“Because then it challenges them, because they fail to understand. It says don’t write anything on your body or tattoo your body for the dead, Those were cultures of people around me being African I know that.”
He added about spiritual revelations, saying tattoos and dreadlocks are not a sin.
“Jesus didn’t come to save this,” he visibly gestures at a hand tattoo, “He came to save your soul, not your body,” he argued further.
