Eric Omondi uses rescue boat to help Kenyans in flooded zones

Humanitarian activist Eric Omondi on Wednesday morning launched a rescue boat to aid flood victims in various areas of Nairobi County and its environs.

Omondi, through his Instagram page, was seen unloading the boat from a small vehicle and placing it on roads that had been submerged, turning them into small seas.

The activist, who is rumoured to be eyeing politics, said that on Wednesday morning, he and his team had already rescued 34 flood victims, noting that many others were still stranded on rooftops submerged by floods.

“We have rescued 34 people today from 8:30 am to 11 am and there are still hundreds stranded, including children, and disasters can happen ANYTIME!!! Last night we rescued a woman and her three children in the Ruiru OJ area,” he said.
