KNH Murder: DCI seeks to detain Kennedy Kalombotole for 21 days
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is seeking 21 days to detain Kennedy Kalombotole, the prime suspect in the murder of two patients at Kenyatta National Hospital.
Kalombotole was arraigned at the Kibera Law Courts on Monday in connection with the deaths of Gilbert Kinyua in February and Edward Ndegwa last week at the hospital.
The court has directed that medical reports from Kenyatta National Hospital and Nairobi Women’s Hospital, where the suspect had been receiving treatment, be submitted by Thursday, July 24, before a ruling is made.
The suspect according to KNH was a long-term patient and homeless. His first admission was in 2022.
