Lessons ex-Inooro TV presenter Winrose Wangui learned from her failed marriage

Former Inooro TV presenter Winrose Wangui has shared some of the lessons she learned from her failed marriage.

Wangui’s marriage only lasted for 59 days.

In an interview with Wambui Wa Mwangi, the talented presenter says she wishes she had the strength to say no to things that didn’t work for her.

“There were so many red flags. We would argue a lot but he was a church person and so was I. We were worried about what people would say.

I did not dare to say no.

I have now learned if you do not learn to say no things will go wrong.

You do not have to feel pressured because other people are doing weddings, do it at the right time and with the right person.”

She went on to add

“If you get married to the wrong person, it will be a small heaven.

We went through pre-marital counselling but it was self-centered. 

I was too naive, but right now I ask when need be.”

Winrose says she had hoped someone would come up and stop the wedding

” When I left my marriage I only left with my car and the clothes.

I lived with a friend for a short while before I rented my own house.

For the better part of my 1st pregnancy, I would sleep on the floor.

Out here I was a TV girl, I am beautiful but on the inside, I was dying slowly.

I took a small loan and furnished my house at around 8 months pregnant.”

She went back to school to pursue Counselling Psychology.
