Nyong’o sacks 2 CECs in the Kisumu County Government » Capital News

KISUMU, Kenya, Apr 19 – Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o has sacked two county executive committee members, without giving reasons for their dismissal.

In a statement to the media on Friday, Nyong’o dismissed CECM for water, environment, natural resources and climate change Maryline Agwa.

Also shown the door is CECM for lands, physical planning, housing and urban development Dr Kennedy Hongo.

In their positions, Governor Nyong’o has appointed in acting capacity CECM for education, technical training, innovation and social services John Awiti to act as CECM for lands, physical planning , housing and urban development.

While the current CECM for public service, county administration and participatory development Judith Oluoch to act as CECM for water, environment, natural resources and climate change.

The changes take effect immediately.

Since his second term in office, Governor Nyong’o has not affected any changes in his 10 cabinet members.
