Mudavadi inaugurates Kenyan embassy in Rabat
Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi has inaugurated the Kenyan Embassy in Rabat, aiming to expand the nation’s diplomatic presence.
The ceremony in Morocco’s capital was attended by the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita.
“The Kenyan Embassy in Rabat is symbolic of the diplomatic ties between the two countries that date back to 1965. It signifies a renewed chapter anchored in shared aspirations, deepened by the bonds of history, cooperation, and mutual respect,” stated Mudavadi.
The embassy is expected to serve as a one-stop hub for strengthening bilateral relations and advancing Kenya’s strategic interests in North Africa.
Kenya’s Foreign Ministry says the embassy will act as “a symbol of friendship and a tool for advancing shared goals, deepening people-to-people engagement, and fostering economic opportunities.”
Kenya also anticipates that the embassy will help unlock opportunities for trade and investment, promoting regional peace and prosperity.
