
Police Service to digitize recruitment system
National Police Service Commission says all the police recruitment and potentially promotions will be done through online system in future.
Speaking in Nairobi County, acting National Police Service Commission Chairman Edwin Cheluget, said the online transition aims to reduce human interaction and improve efficiency in the service delivery.
Flanked by National Police Service Commission Chief Executive officer Peter leley, the acting NPSC Chairman Edwin Cheluget announced that all future promotional interviews and police recruitments will be done through online platforms.
The Commission said move aims at taming corruption.
This as NPSC revealed that the soon to be recruitment exercise will commence once the national budget is read.
Meanwhile, the commission is currently conducting interviews for the rank of Chief inspectors with 132 police officer shortlisted for the exercise.
The exercise kicked off yesterday and ends on Thursday next week.
