Kindiki accuses opposition of inciting Kenyans, lacking solutions
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has called out opposition leaders, accusing them of what he termed as persistent politicking and incitement against the Kenya Kwanza administration
Speaking at his Karen residence on Tuesday morning after meeting opinion leaders and elected leaders from all constituencies in Nyandarua County, the Deputy President reaffirmed Kenya Kwanza’s commitment to delivering on the pledges made during the 2022 General Election campaigns.
Kindiki said he has intentionally chosen to steer clear of political rhetoric and is instead focused on service delivery,
He however warned the political leaders to prepare for a political showdown in 2027 saying that the KK Government’s score card will speak for itself.
The DP said that since assuming office six months ago, he has achieved a lot and is committed to do even more.
He assured Nyandarua residents that the government will continue to fulfill promises made during county development forums.
He further pledged to follow up on the commitments made by President William Ruto to ensure that all regions across the country benefit from equitable development.
Kindiki stated that the Kenya Kwanza administration had managed to stabilize the economy, noting that the strengthening of the Kenyan shilling against the dollar has brought some relief.
He added that farmers are getting value for their money through government subsidies, particularly for fertilizer, as well as improved earnings from tea and coffee production.
The DP cited the ongoing construction of over 400 modern markets across counties as one of the administration’s flagship economic initiatives, noting that the move would boost local economies.
He assured Nyandarua residents that he will personally oversee the implementation of various infrastructure projects in the region, including road upgrades and the Ksh1.6 billion electricity connectivity program.
He further noted that the Ministry of Lands, in collaboration with other government agencies, was working on issuing title deeds to residents in areas historically referred to as “colonial villages,” promising to return soon to oversee the progress.
Leaders present at the meeting included Nyandarua Woman Representative Faith Gitau, MPs Kwenya Thuku (Kinangop), Michael Muchira (Ol Joro Orok), and George Gachagua (Ndaragwa). Ol Kalou MP David Njuguna Kiaraho sent an apology.
Also in attendance were National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, MPs Vincent Musyoka (Mwala), Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Patrick Munene (Chuka/Igambang’ombe), and several Members of the County Assembly.
