“We call upon Kenyans to take care of our own country because we have no other spare country hence we need to love each other and foster development for the growth of our country”, said Speaker.

While acknowledging that Kenya faced various challenges like any other developing nations, Speaker Wetang’ula remained hopeful that solutions required that Kenyans love, work hard and change the story of the country.

“Despite facing challenges that emanate from the daily population growth, as leaders we need to pull together and breed homogeneity in the country”, urged Speaker Wetang’ula.

The Speaker noted event was humbling moment where Leaders, Family and Friends poured their hearts in sending their condolences to the family acknowledging that death indeed is deeply unexplained occurrence in Human existence.

He further indicated that the forum offered a reflective moment that beyond leadership and politics, there’s family.

“It’s painful to bidding farewell to our beloved Son, but I am encouraged that Elachi’s respect & friendship has brought together people from all walks of life in a show of support due to her sacrifices in life and leadership leading to a huge social capital across Kenya and beyond.”, said Speaker Wetang’ula.

Wetang’ula said that Elvis’s untimely passing in a tragic road accident during Lent Season reminds mourners of the fragility of life.

“We encouraged the family to hold unto God’s love and peace for fortitude and comfort at this difficult time”, encouraged Wetang’ula.

He underscored the importance of Unity giving an example of Beatrice Elachi who he described as the profile of a true politician needed in Kenya.

“Beatrice is the proverbial metaphorical Child for the country, who sees no boundaries”, he emphasized.

Leaders present praised the extraordinary unity witnessed in the support given to Elachi’s family noting that the same should be experienced at all levels in the country.
