NAIROBI, Kenya Apr 16 – Over 300 high-level stakeholders from education, health, media, and technology gather in Nairobi for a 2-day global conference on digital transformation, hosted by Aga Khan University.

Themed “Digital Transformation in East Africa,” the event explores digital technologies’ impact on health and education, including Kenya’s Digital Health Act.

Kenya’s ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi will grace the opening.

Notable speakers include Google’s Vint Cerf and Aga Khan University’s Dr. Sulaiman Shahabuddin.

The conference aims to delve into various digital innovation facets, from governance to AI in healthcare and education, cybersecurity, data privacy, and climate sustainability.

Aga Khan University’s Chief Information Officer, Shaukat Ali Khan, underscores the university’s commitment to digital innovations in East Africa, aiming to shape the region’s future through impactful collaborations and discussions.
