Ruto attends burial of Senator Cheptumo

President William Ruto is among the mourners attending the burial of Baringo Senator William Cheptumo.

Cheptumo’s body was flown to Kabarnet on Saturday morning before being transported by road to Arap Moi Secondary School, Bartabwa, where a church service is currently underway.

The service will be followed by his interment at his home in Tunoiywo village.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Cabinet Secretaries, and various lawmakers are also in attendance.

Cheptumo, who was serving his first term in office after defeating KANU’s Gideon Moi in the 2022 General Elections, passed away on Sunday, February 16, while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital.

He was previously elected as a member of Parliament for Baringo North three times before becoming the Senator.
