Malava MP Malulu Injendi to be buried on March 4

The late Malava MP, Malulu Injendi, will be laid to rest on March 4, 2025, at his home in Kakamega.

The MP passed away on Monday after a short illness.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula on Wednesday led a delegation of over 35 MPs to condole with Injendi’s family at his Nairobi home where a short mass service was held in his honour.

Wetang’ula eulogised Injendi as a man who prioritised respect and dignity and was not shy about his Catholic faith.

“Parliament has lost a great pillar as he was a unifying leader and often supported initiatives that were geared towards bringing Kenyans together,” he said.

The Speaker described Injendi as a close friend and a respected legislator who was committed to parliamentary work.

“As the Vice Chairman of the Education Committee, he actively participated in sessions that geared towards streamlining the sector, particularly in the implementation of the new curriculum and resolving issues affecting the Higher education sector,” said Wetang’ula.
