Sonko meets the woman who tattooed his face on her thigh
On Tuesday, former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko met with a lady from Murang’a who had tattooed his face on her thigh.
In a statement on the X social media platform, the controversial politician revealed that he found Mary Njoki waiting for him in his office.
Sonko attached his statement with a short video of their meeting where they discussed various matters, including the woman’s problems, her requests, her educational qualifications, family, future plans, and more.
“I studied up to Class Eight; I didn’t continue, waiting for someone to sponsor me,” Ms. Njoki told the former governor.
The mother of two continued to share her aspirations with Sonko, expressing her desire to open a clothing store in Murang’a town, stating that she needs approximately Sh 200,000 to start the business.
The wealthy businessman showed his willingness to help the woman establish the clothing store and start selling clothes, stating that he could not give her money directly.
“First, get that shop, then let our people see it,” Sonko told her.
He continued, “Let them see the shop, let us pay for the first six months. We must know where you are buying stock; we will pay for it. There is no money here, no cash given to you. Honestly, we don’t operate that way; if you want that money, forget it. We don’t give out money.”
The former governor also took the opportunity to advise the mother of two against rushing things, cautioning her about having many children while she is not yet financially stable.
On the other hand, the politician also offered the woman a temporary job in his office while they waited to determine the best solution for her.
When asked if she would remove the Sonko tattoo now that they had met and talked, Ms. Njoki said, “I can’t remove it; it can’t come off.”
