DJ Joe Mfalme to appear today before Kibera Law court

Renowned DJ Joe Mfalme and his team are scheduled to make an appearance at the Kibera Law Courts starting at 9 am.

On March 16, DJ Mfalme and his team were returning home in Kikuyu when they encountered a minor accident without injuries.

Authorities reported that his vehicle sustained scratches during the incident. Subsequently, a confrontation ensued with Kelian before law enforcement was contacted to intervene at the scene.

His appearance today comes 14 days after a Kibera court granted a request from the police to hold DJ Joe and six others in custody pending further investigation into the alleged fatal assault of Kabete police officer Felix Kelian.

Although the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) had sought 21 days, the court deemed 14 days to be adequate.

Soon after reports emerged of his arrest, the DJ i n a statement, addressed the incident, saying, “We express our deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and all those impacted by this unfortunate incident.”

He continued, stating that his team has been closely cooperating with investigative agencies since the occurrence of the incident.

Mfalme added that they were entrusting God and the authorities to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation aimed at uncovering the truth.

“Once again, we convey our sincerest condolences to the bereaved family and friends affected by this distressing event,” the statement concluded.
