Kindiki flies Skyward-operated Fokker 70 to Gaborone » Capital News
NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 8 — Deputy President Kithure Kindiki arrived in Botswana’s capital, Gaborone, early on Friday to attend the inaguration of the nation’s new President on a chartered Skyward flight.
Kindiki, who is representing President William Ruto at the swearing in of Duma Boko as President of Botswana, departed from Nairobi on a Rolls-Royce powerd Fokker 70, similar to Kenya’s official presidential jet, Skyward’s latest aquisition from Netherlands.
Registered in Kenya as 5Y-SKX, the 29-year-old jet yet to be branded with Skyward livery was previously operated by Tus Airways in Cyprus and KLM Cityhopper in Netherlands.
Singapore’s SilkAir also operated the jet for five years until 2000.
Kindiki was accompanied by Senators Fatuma Dullo (Isiolo) and Eddy Oketch (Migori) as well as National Assembly Members; Owen Baya (Kilifi North), Vincent Musyoka (Mwala), John Njuguna Kawanjiku (Kiambaa), Victor Koech (Chepalungu), and Elisha Odhiambo (Gem).
