Scenes from actress Winnie Bwire’s burial in Kakamega
Kenyan actress Winnie ‘Dida’ Bwire was on Saturday laid to rest in her rural home in Matungu, Kakamega County in an emotional ceremony.
Thousands of mourners gathered at their home to pay their last respects to the actress, who died after a battle with cancer.
In attendance were also actors from Jiffy Pictures, a production house she worked for.
Led by their Boss Lulu Hassan, the Jiff Pictures team eulogized Bwire as a talented artist who featured effortlessly in multiple shows.
“A solemn tribute to Winnie Bwire, symbolizing the light she left behind. In the quiet embrace of the night a tender reminder of her enduring spirit, forever cherished and missed by everyone. Our human is resting. No more pain. Thank you @kupakenya for standing in the gap. God bless. Thank you @rok_industries for the candles,” a statement from Jiff Pictures read.
Another caption from them said; “We are a family and WINNIE will forever be a part of the family in heart and in spirit . Thank you HUMAN . Rest Easy,”.
