Working with the band, provided Morton with significant exposure and experiences. It allowed him to refine his skills and gain recognition in the music industry propelling his music career forward.

After joining the band he also contributed to various key projects and live performances. Focusing on specific tracks: Hands All Over and Never Gonna Leave This Bed where Morton’s impact and ability to blend seamlessly into the band’s style while introducing new harmonies and textures is evident.

Morton later on left Maroon 5 in 2012 to focus on his solo career, but his influence remained a significant part of the band’s legacy. Morton’s departure allowed him to explore his artistic vision fully, leading to successful career acclaimed by albums like Gumbo and Paul.

His music often bridges genres, incorporating elements of  Gospel, Jazz and Funk into his R&B foundation.
