Singer Eddy Kenzo given senior presidential advisor job by Museveni

Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo has been appointed as the senior presidential advisor on creatives and the creative industry in Uganda.

The singer’s girlfriend Phiona who also holds a position in government as the Minister of State for Energy and Mineral development took to social media to congratulate him.

“Congratulations on your well-deserved appointment @eddykenzoficial, proud of you as always ❤️. Thank you H.E @KagutaMuseveni,” she wrote on social media

Kenzo also shared photos with Museveni showing that the two had met and had a talk.

“His excellence, the president of Uganda @kagutamuseveni,” wrote the award-winning Ugandan singer

Eddy Kenzo whose real name is Edrisah Kenzo Musuuza blew to international fame with his hit-song ‘Sitya Loss’ in 2014. In 2015 he took home the BET award for ‘Viewer’s Choice, Best New International Artist” making him the first East African to win such an award.

In 2018, he won Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice awards for ‘Favorite African Star’ and in 2022/2023, he was nominated for the Grammys in the ‘Best Global Performance’ category.
