7 counties to be affected by power interruptions today

The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced power interruptions in several parts of the country on Thursday, August 29.

In a statement released on Wednesday evening, the company mentioned that the power interruptions is due to maintenance work that will be carried out on the power stations.

They stated that some areas in seven counties in Kenya will be without power between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The counties affected include Nairobi, Kisii, Kilifi, Migori, Kiambu, Mombasa, and Kajiado.

In Nairobi County, areas such as Kibarage Way, Sewage, Kibiku, Joska, Utawala, Njiru, Vicken, and North Impact will be affected by the power cut from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In Kisii County, areas like Kegati, Riambanyi, and Kiogoro will be affected between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

In Kilifi County, areas of Mtondia, Tezo, and Chumani will be affected from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In Migori County, areas such as Namba and Isebania will experience an outage from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Areas such as Kibichoi, Komothai Boys, Marion School, and Gatundu town in Kiambu County will be affected from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Parts of Miritini and Jomvu areas in Mombasa County will be without power from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Some sections of Kitengela town in Kajiado County will also be without power from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
