4 people killed in road accident near Koru, Muhoroni » Capital News

KISUMU, Kenya, Feb 25 – Four people were killed in a road accident after a Nairobi-bound bus collided with a trailer near Koru, Muhoroni.

According to a police report, several other passengers were injured in the accident that occurred last night.

A tragic road accident last night at Koru along the Kisumu Nairobi highway left four passengers dead.

“Four fatalities reported, 3 men and a lady, all bodies taken to St Vincent De Paul funeral hone,” the report stated.

The bus was traveling from Bondo to Nairobi when it collided with the trailer under unclear circumstances.

Police had difficult times keeping off locals who had rushed to the scene as they attempted to loot valuables from the bus.

Teargas was lobbed on the charged locals to keep them at bay.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, while urging motorists to exercise caution.

The two vehicles were towed to Muhoroni police station pending further inspection.
