
100 elderly persons to benefit as Amara Realty unveils phase two of housing project in Thika
Real estate firm Amara Realty Company Limited has launched the second phase of its Oint Country Homes project in Thika, with part of the initiative set to benefit 100 elderly persons and five high school students from low-income families.
The firm said the selected students will receive full scholarships, while the elderly will be supported with monthly stipends starting July 2025.
Speaking during the launch, Amara CEO Jane Baiyu said the project will feature 28 modern eco friendly homes and is part of the firm’s effort to promote sustainable living and support vulnerable groups.
“This project is more than just houses; its about fostering a community where families can thrive, connect and grow in an environmentally conscious setting,” she said.
In Phase One, the company supported three students drawn from various schools with scholarships and offered assistance to 100 elderly persons.
The firm also announced plans to financially support five football teams from Juja, Murang’a, Mwea, Mai Mahiu and Kiambu, to promote grassroots talent development.
